Homeward bound

After nine long months in the US of A, its time for me to head back home. In my nine months here I have travelled the length of the east coast. I have gone skiing in the Appalachians in the snow laden slopes of Boone county. I have watched the Blue Ridge mountains turn into an orgy of colors in fall and seen those very slopes laden with snow in winter. I have marvelled at the riches of Biltmore Estate and enjoyed the narrow streets of Gatlinburg. I have driven through the wilderness of the Smokey Mountains and wondered about the gambling dens of Cherokee county. I have stood on the sands of Kitty Hawk where two bicycle makers from Ohio had stood a century back with a contraption that changed the world forever. I have seen the great dunes of Jockey Ridge and walked on the cradle of hurricanes. I have gone rafting on the Shenandoah as it weaves throught he blue Ridge in West Virginia. I have marvelled at the museums of Washington DC and read the writing on the walls of Lincoln Memorial. I feel I have made the most of my nine months here. It was the education of a lifetime.
