Thanksgiving

I have not unpdated this blog for a long time. A lot has happened since I last updated the blog.
My wife joined me here on Nov 12th. Keep busy at home too now.
I bought a car. Its a pristine 1996 Toyota Corolla with low miles on it.
I bought a camera. Its a Canon S2 IS. Had been wanting it for a long time.

Life is better here now. No more waiting at the bus stop for hours. No more rubbing your palms feverishly to keep the blood flowing. And most important of all no more asking people for favors.

It took me one hour to learn driving. I practiced for an hour within the confines of my Apartment Complex and the next hour I was on my way to Jordan Lake on US-64. Reckless but effective. Automatic transmission rules.

We went Thanksgiving shopping on Black Friday. Woke up at 3:00 a.m. and were queued in front of Circuit City by 4:00 a.m. The shop opened at 5:00 a.m. and from that moment on it was pure frenzy. I got a good deal on Sandisk 512 MB SD cards. Got then for 10$ each. Also got a good deal on a GE 5.8 GHz cordless phone. Bought it for 5$ as a gift for my mother. Then we went to Walmart where my wife rushed to the clothing section. Within minutes we were sitting on a pile of God knows what. Then it was time for Best Buy. I bought a SanDisk Sansa 512MB MP3/FM Tuner/Recorder for my wife there. Then we went to Sears where we didnt do much except for looking around. By the time we were back home it was 12:30 p.m. Whoof!!! this is the craziest shopping I have done so far.
